Retro Kitchen Tables
Tables have probably been in kitchens and dining rooms since the Stone Age, although you would have to define kitchen as “the cave” and table as “the big rock with food on it”. Most people have a more modern view of what constitutes a kitchen table though. The basic table hasn’t changed for centuries, and more often than not a table that would be found in a 19th century house would not raise any eyebrows in a 21st century house.
Although there is a good amount of room for debate, retro tables are often considered to be the type of tables found in kitchens and dining rooms in the 1950s and 1960s, and the similar but usually a bit more elaborate, tables found in cafes during the same period (as seen in American Graffiti and Happy Days).
